Throughput of port Kavkaz up 45% to 11.20 mln t in 5M’17

In January-May 2017, port Kavkaz handled 11.209 mln t of cargo (+45%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 3.318 mln t of cargo (+74%, year-on-year).

Transshipment of oil products grew by 16% to 3.655 mln t, grain – 4.7 times to 2.326 mln t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers - 7% to 1.065 mln t. Transshipment of LPG fell by 39% to 58,000 t.

Exports from port Kavkaz grew 2.1 times to 520,000 t, short-sea traffic  - by 34% to 7.249 t. Imports fell by 11% to 42,000 t.

Passenger turnover declined by 3% to 1,187,976 passengers.

Bunker sales at the port dropped by 27% to 80,000 t. 

The number of calls climbed by 7% to 8,748 calls.
