Cargo barge has delivered oversized equipment, atmospheric distillation column, from Petrozavodsk to Moscow. Gazpromneft-MNPZ JSC says this new equipment is intended for primary crude oil processing facility ‘Euro+’ of Moscow Refinery.
The equipment was delivered by Volga-Baltic water system. The barge covered 1100 km with the last 70 km along the Moskva river having passed through 11 locks.
The column manufactured by AEM-Technology (part of Atomenergomash JSC, the mechanical engineering division of ROSATOM state corporation) is intended for production of petrol, diesel fuel and aircraft fuel.
Construction of ‘Euro+’ facility is one of the key projects under comprehensive modernization being conducted by Gazprom Neft at its Moscow Refinery. The project was launched in 2016, 25% of the works have been fulfilled. General Contractor of ‘Euro+’ construction is NIPIGAZ, Russia’s leading center on designing, supplies and construction.
