Okskaya Sudoverf to build new pontoon park for RF Ministry of Defense
Okskaya Sudoverf shipyard (part of UCL Holding) says it has signed a contract for the construction of a modernized pontoon park PP-2005M for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The pontoon park is intended for the arrangement and maintenance of bridge and ferry crossings. From the set of PP-2005M can be collected eight ferries with a carrying capacity of 90 tons, four ferries with a carrying capacity of 190 tons, or two ferries with a carrying capacity of 380 tons. The park is made on the chassis of cars "Kamaz-63501".
The pontoon park PP-2005M is a further development of generations of pontoon parks PPS-84, PP-91, PP-91M and PP-2005. The difference of the new complex is the improved design of the main units, which was achieved due to the modernization carried out at the production site of the Oka shipyard.
The signed contract with the Ministry of Defense in the direction of bridge construction became the second in the last 1.5 years. The first park PP-2005M was delivered in the autumn of 2016 in the framework of the state defense order.
Today, the Okskaya Sudoverf produces a wide range of pontoon complexes for military and civilian needs, including for working in difficult conditions for the development and exploitation of oil and gas fields.
