Pacific Bulk Terminal LLC, resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok, embarks on implementation of the project on construction of state-of-the-art transshipment facilities near Slavyanka settlement (Khasansky District, Primorsky Territory), says press center of the Far East Development Corporation. The first phase of the investment project will be implemented in 2017 - 2021. Investments for the construction over this period are estimated at more than RUB 10 bln.
The project implies the construction of basic and auxiliary facilities, transport and engineering infrastructure, as well as the purchase and installation of required production equipment.
The facilities are to become fully operational by 2028. The project will let generate about 750 jobs including some 160 jobs of the first phase.
According to the statement, the project’s technology of fully closed storage and transshipment of dry bulk cargo will be applied for the first time in the Far East of Russia. Introduction of cutting-edge technological will let eliminate environmental risks and allow for simultaneous handling of different cargoes.
In particular, a new container terminal will be built as part of the project on development of international transport corridors Primorye 1 and Primorye 2. The terminal will be included into infrastructure of Primorye 2 allowing for handling transit/export/import/coastal freight including that of the Primorsky Territory. In the future, the terminal can also handle containers of Primorye 1.
Since the signing of the Federal Law on FPV, Far East Development Corporation has received 373 applications from potential residents with their investment projects exceeding RUB 367 bln. As of today, the list of residents numbers 218 companies with the scope of investments exceeding RUB 297 bln. More than 27,000 jobs are to be generated under those projects.
