RF Navy’s missile ships practiced interaction in the Baltic Sea

In the Baltic Sea, corvette ‘Stoyky’ together with small missile ship (SMS) ‘Liven’ conducted a missile duel against the imaginary enemy’s ship unit, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

The role of the enemy was assigned to corvettes ‘Boyky’, ‘Steregushchy’ and SMS ’Zelyony Dol’. During a bilateral preparatory tactical drill, the ship strike groups from two formations of the Baltic Naval Base, played a training battle with a duelling situation.

Corvette ‘Stoyky’ and SMS ‘Liven’ found the imaginary enemy’s ship unit jointly electronically launched missiles against it.

During the simulated missile firing, the ships of both groups carried out real combat drills with sets of passive jamming to evade anti-ship missiles.

In turn, the corvettes ‘Boyky’, ‘Steregushchy’ and SMS ’Zelyony Dol’ also dealt a retaliatory "blow" with the help of electronic missile launches.

In addition to combat training activities in the sea, the ship crews worked out issues related to operation of ship systems, organisation of daily activities at sea and conduct of drills on struggle for survivability.
