Throughput of port Kavkaz up 35% to 14.37 mln t in 6M’17

In January-June 2017, port Kavkaz handled 14.374 mln t of cargo (+35%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 4.307 mln t of cargo (+59%, year-on-year).

Transshipment of oil products grew by 9% to 5.192 mln t, grain –2.8 times to 1.601 mln t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers – by 53 % to 1.932 mln t. Transshipment of LPG fell by 37% to 66,000 t.

Exports from port Kavkaz grew 2.3 times to 580,000 t, short-sea traffic  - by 25% to 9.320 t. Imports fell by 6% to 50,000 t.

Passenger turnover declined by 2% to 1,773,141 passengers.

Bunker sales at the port dropped by 26% to 117,000 t. 

The number of calls climbed by 5% to 11,316 calls.
