Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law on Seaports in the Russian Federation and on Amendments to Particular Russian Federation Legislative Acts, says official website of Kremlin.
The State Duma passed the Federal Law on 5 July 2017, the Federation Council approved it on 12 July 2017.
The Federal Law regulates activity related to establishing, developing and operating seaports.
It clarifies matters concerning seaport territory and determining and changing boundaries. It also sets requirements for establishing, opening and closing seaports and for developing seaport infrastructure facilities.
The Federal Law also regulates matters concerning the use of state-owned real estate, provision of services, and ensuring safety at seaports.
