Tobolsk receives a project cargo for ZapSibNeftekhim complex in Russia
A new shipment of oversized heavy lift equipment intended for SIBUR’s ZapSibNeftekhim complex in Tyumen region based Tobolsk has been delivered to the industrial port of Tobolsk, the press service of ZapSibNeftekhim said.
During the summer-autumn navigation season between July 20 and September 30, the port will receive more than 30 cargo barges laden with heavy lift cargo and 300 units of equipment. This will be the key equipment for the polyolephin facility: four 360-tonne boilers, 66-meter-high washing and rectification columns weighting about 150 tonnes, 87-meter butene columns, extruders and columns for a polyethylene plant.
The oversized cargo transportation began in accordance with the tight schedule of summer-autumn navigation. So far, 22 ATBs laden with equipment for pyrolysis and polyethylene production facilities have been dispatched from the seaport of Sabetta to Tobolsk, with 16 of them already unloaded at the Tobolsk port. The transportation along the Northern Sea Route via the Ob Bay is the only way to deliver such project cargo to Tobolsk.
In addition to imported equipment, several domestic manufacturers, including Polyplastic Ural, KAMKabel, and EcoVodsTroitech will supply the equipment for the ZapSibNeftekhim facility. Contracts for the equipment supply have been concluded with enterprises in 35 regions of Russia.
