Throughput of port Kaliningrad in Jan-July'17 grew by 10% to 7.68 mln t
In January-July 2017, the port of Kaliningrad handled 7,686,600 t of cargo, up 10%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew 2.1 times to 1,689,600 t including 420,200 t of coal (+4%). Transshipment of mineral fertilizers fell by 82% to 2,800 t with other cargoes showing an increase (up 3.4 times).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo dropped by 14% to 2,145,200 t, general cargo – by 16% to 749,700 t.
The port’s container throughput grew by 30.9% to 139,030 TEUs.
Transshipment of cargoes carried by ferries totaled 809,400 t (+6%), liquid bulk cargo – 1,627,200 t (+13%) including 855,200 t of oil products (+22%), 384,000 t of crude oil (-15%) and 352,200 t of food cargo (+32%).
In 2016, the port of Kaliningrad handled 11.70 mln t (-8%).
