NZPG and Port of Constanta sign agreement on friendly cooperation

Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group and Constanta National Seaport Authority signed the agreement on friendly cooperation in Romania, the company said in its press release.

Xia Haiwei, the deputy secretary general of Zhejiang provincial government and the executive deputy director of Zhejiang Province Seaport Development Committee, and Dumitru Babu, the deputy mayor of Constanta city of Romania, witnessed the sign of the cooperative agreement. Mao Jianhong, the board chairman and secretary of party committee of NZPG and board chairman of NZPC, and Nicolae Dan Tivilichi, the CEO of Port of Constanta, signed the agreement on behalf of the both parties.

During his visit in Romania on July 13th, Yuan Jiajun, the governor of Zhejiang Province and deputy secretary of Provincial Party Committee, met Sevil Shhaideh, the deputy premier of Romania and minister of Ministry of Regional Development. Both parties had direct and effective conversation on friendly exchanges between Zhejiang and Romania and reached an important consensus. During the meeting, the both parties mentioned of the cooperation between Ningbo Zhoushan Port and Port of Constanta. The conclusion of the agreement reflected the results of the meeting between the governor Yuan Jiajun and the deputy premier Sevil Shhaideh as well as the both parties’ fellowship in “belt & road” construction.

According to the cooperative agreement, both parties will be based on the principle of “mutually beneficial development, win-win cooperation” to carry out friendly cooperation in various respects, including expanding cooperation, increasing the density of container shipping routes between the both ports, increasing volume of imported and exported cargoes between the both countries, jointly promoting terminal operating efficiency and assigning experts to carry out experience exchanges on regular basis.
