Hapag-Lloyd starts new “ECX” Service between North Europe and South America East Coast

Hapag-Lloyd announced new ECX Service. Hapag-Lloyd will consolidate its present services from North Europe to South America East Coast. The new ECX Service is planned to commence on September 27, 2017 in Rotterdam, Netherlands with the southbound departure of M/V “TBN” - voyage 701S, the company said in its press release.

The new ECX Service, covering the major markets in North Europe and East Coast South America, will be a weekly service with fixed scheduled arrivals and departures. Hapag-Lloyd will become a major vessel provider in this trade and will operate four out of nine modern and homogeneous vessels with a capacity of approx. 9,000 TEU and 1,325 reefer plugs each.
