In January-August 2017, seaports of Russia handled 517.3 mln t of cargo (10.4%, year-on-year), says press center of the Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry cargo totaled 240 mln t (+9.9%) including 102.7 mln t of coal (+15.0%), 31.6 mln t of containerized cargo (+13.5%), 25.3 mln t of grain (+23.2%), 18.7 mln t of ferrous metal (-1.5 %), 11.2 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+6.2%) and 2.0 mln t of refrigerated cargo (- 0.3%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo totaled 277.3 mln t (+10.8%) including 169.9 mln t of crude oil (+16%), 95.1 mln t of oil products (+2.2%) and 9.4 mln t of liquefied gas (+10.1%).
Exports totaled 399.4 mln t (+7.5%), imports - 24.0 mln t (+17.1%), transit - 38.4 mln t (+18.3%), short-sea traffic - 55.2 mln t (+25.5%).
Operators of the Arctic Basin handled 48.7 mln t of cargo (+62.2%) including 29.6 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+136.9%) and 19.0 mln t of dry cargo (+8.8%). The port of Murmansk handled 34.3 mln t (+71.2%), Varandei - 5.8 mln t (+8.0%).
The ports of the Baltic Sea Basin handled 164.6 mln t (+5.9%) including 68.3 mln t of dry cargo (+17.3%) and 96.3 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-0.9%). The port of Ust-Luga handled 67.5 mln t (+12.0%), Primorsk - 40.1 mln t (-7.4%), Big Port St. Petersburg - 35.2 mln t (+10.6%), Vysotsk - 11.7 mln t (+4.4%).
Throughput of seaports in the Azov-Black Sea Basin totaled 172.3 mln t (+9.1%) including 72.0 mln t of dry cargo (+6.5%) and 100.3 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+11.0%). The port of Novorossiysk handled 96.7 mln t (+12.7%), Tuapse - 17.8 mln t (+6.3 %), Kavkaz - 21.5 mln t (+4.4%), Taman - 9.9 mln t (+16.8%), Rostov-on-Don - 8.8 (+4.4) mln t, Kerch - 5.6 mln t (-9.5%).
The ports of the Caspian Basin handled 2.4 mln t (-36.0%) including 1.7 mln t of dry cargo (-6.1%) and 0.7 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-64.1%). The port of Makhachkala handled 0.8 mln t (-60.6%), Astrakhan - 1.4 mln t (-6.4%), Olya – 138,000 t (+39%).
The ports of the Far East Basin handled 129.1 mln t (+6.3%) including 78.8 mln t of dry cargo (+7.7%) and 50.3 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+4.1%). Port Vostochny handled Грузооборот 46.2 mln t (+3.3%), Vanino - 19.9 mln t (-0.5%), Nakhodka - 16.3 mln t (+5.3%), Prigorodnoye - 11.2 mln t (+8.5%), Vladivostok - 11.0 mln t (+19%), Posiet - 5.1 mln t (+3.5%). De-Castri –8.2 mln t (+9.9 %).
Association of Commercial Sea Ports (ASOP) set up in 1987 unites over 50 organizations and enterprises of Russia’s maritime transport. ASOP comprises commercial seaports, forwarding and agency companies, scientific research institutes and marine educational institutions. Operational results of Russian port sector are based on statistics reports and cover all stevedoring companies operating in the Russian Federation.
