At the International Exhibition NEVA-2017 in St Petersburg, the MariNet, the National Technological Initiative (NTI)’s working group, presented a number of breakthrough solutions that will shape the global maritime industry in the coming decades. As the MariNet told IAA PortNews, they presented the solutions of 12 Russian companies including Transas, Android Techniques, RDC Aqualines, Krylov State Research Center, InProject, Institute of Marine Technologies for Energy and Transport, Astrakhan State Technical University, Applied Technologies, etc.
That was the first major event of MariNet and NTI focused on promotion of the projects among the foreign partners and customers.
The MariNet conference held in the framework of the NEVA-2017 on 20 September 2017 numbered 18 reports on the leading companies and scientific centers’ R&D in the area of innovative shipbuilding, navigation and technologies for development of ocean resources. Without exaggeration, that represents the cutting-edge marine technologies: high-speed transport, subsea robotic technologies, e-navigation, new energy, underwater exploration and communications, upcoming trends for shipboard equipment.
The plenary report of MariNet head Sergey Generalov covered key activities, projects and participants of the working group. As of today, there are more than 70 projects, most of which offer unique revolutionary solutions unrivaled throughout the world.
On 20 September 2017, M.O.H. Group (India), RDC Aqualines Company (Russia), Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industries and Russia’s National Technological Initiative signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop the production and operation of new high-speed maritime crafts. The document was signed at the MariNet booth of the NEVA 2017 exhibition.
