Russian Railways' network loading up 3% to 1.15 bln t in 11M’17
In January-November 2017, the network of Russian Railways loaded 1.151 bln t of cargo, up 3%, year-on-year, the Company’s press center says.
In the reporting period the railways shipped the following goods: coal – 325.9 mln t (+9%, year-on-year); coke – 10.2 mln t (-4.6%); crude and oil products – 214.2 mln t (-0.1%); ron and manganese ores – 100.7 mln t (+0.2%); ferrous metal – 65.8 mln t (+1.8%); ferrous metal crap – 14.4 mln t (+4.5%); chemical and mineral fertilizers – 51.9 mln t (+7%); cement – 25.4 mln t (+0.2%); timber – 39.6 mln t (+2.8%); grain – 19.6 mln t (+15.7%); construction materials – 123.5 mln t (-6.8%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 18.6 mln t (-4.5%); chemicals and soda – 23.8 mln t (+2%); ndustrial feedstock and moulded materials – 33.6 mln t (+4%).
From the beginning of the year, freight turnover totaled 2,272.1 bln tariff ton-km (+6.5%), Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon run – 2,897.1 bln ton-km (+6.1%).
In November, loading grew by 3.5%, year-on-year, to 105.7 mln t.
Freight turnover in November grew by 5.7% to 210.6 bln tariff ton-km . Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon run grew by 5.3% to 268.9 bln ton-km.
