In January-November 2017, port Kavkaz handled 40.45 mln t of cargo (+35%, year-on-year), Sergei Naumov, Acting Harbour Master of port Kavkaz, told IAA PortNews.
Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 13.088 mln t of cargo (+21%, year-on-year).
Transshipment of grain grew by 62% to 12.548 mln t, sulphur up 5% to 3.298 mln t, oil products – down 8% to 11.609 mln t, coal – down 4% to 514,000 t, LPG – down 27% to 111,000 t.
Exports from port Kavkaz grew 2-fold to 776,000 t, imports – by 20% to 103,000 t, short-sea traffic – by 43% to 25.771 mln t.
Passenger turnover declined by 3% to 5,534,915 passengers.
Bunker sales at the port dropped by 30% to 307,000 t.
The number of calls climbed by 7% to 27,228 calls.
