In January-December 2017, the network of Russian Railways loaded 1.261 bln t of cargo, up 3.2%, year-on-year, the Company’s press center says.
In the reporting period the railways shipped the following goods: coal – 358.5 mln t (+9.1% year-on-year); coke – 11.2 mln t (-4.7%); crude and oil products – 235.5 mln t (-0.2%); ron and manganese ores – 110.5 mln t (+0.9%); ferrous metal – 73 mln t (+2.8%); ferrous metal crap – 15.7 mln t (+4.8%); chemical and mineral fertilizers – 57.1 mln t (+6.8%); cement – 26.8 mln t (+0.6%); timber – 43.3 mln t (+2.5%); grain – 12.1 mln t (+16.4%); construction materials – 132.9 mln t (-5.7%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 20.2 mln t (-4.1%); chemicals and soda – 26.1 mln t (+1.7%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 36.5 mln t (+4.3%).
In 2017, freight turnover totaled 2,491.4 bln tariff ton-km (+6.4%), Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon run – 3,176.2 (+6%).
In December, loading grew by 4.8%, year-on-year, to 110.2 mln t.
Freight turnover in December grew by 5% to 219 bln tariff ton-km . Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon run grew by 4.4% to 278.8 bln ton-km.
