In QI’2018, the network owned by Russian Railways carried 1 million 3.9 thousand TEUs, 12.6% more than in QI’2017.
In the reporting period, domestic transportation totaled 430,000 TEUs (+3.5%), transit – 100,600 TEUs (+30.1%), export – 274,800 TEUs (+16.7%), import – 198,300 TEUs (+21.6%).
In January-March 2018, the transportation of loaded containers on all types of routes increased by 14.8% to 663,900 TEUs, or 9.4 million tonnes of cargo (+12.4%) including chemicals and soda: 114,000 TEUs (+7.3%); paper – 75,600 (+8%); timber – 81,100 (+34.2%); industrial goods – 59,300 (+15.3%); fabricated metal products – 58,800 (+22.6%); cars – 51,000 (+33.5%); machines, machine tools, engines – 46,000 (+26.7%); non-ferrous metal – 27,300 (+7.5%); ferrous metal – 27,400 (+23.8%); chemical and mineral fertilisers – 14,700 (-13.1%); construction materials – 17,700 (+6.8%); miscellaneous and assemblies – 19,000 (+1.5%).
In March 2018, Russian Railways carried 360,200 TEUs (+9.3%, year-on-year).
