The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has made a decision on the development of pre-declaration of goods imported to the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), says EEC statement. From 1 October 2018, participants of foreign economic activities intending to move goods across the customs border of EEU by water transport, should provide the customs with information about the imported goods in advance, before the arrival to the checkpoint. Similar requirement is already in force for goods moved by vehicles, railway and air transport.
To simplify identification of goods and transport, EEC has also approved a common procedure for registration of preliminary information provided by the participants of foreign economic activities.
