Atomflot set to develop conventional port fleet
FSUE Atomflot is going to develop conventional port fleet, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Oleg Darbinyan, Fleet Maintenance Director, Atomflot, as saying at the 8th international conference “Logistics in the Arctic”.
“In the nearest time, Yamal LNG will require new vessels. We have decided to build our own non-atomic port fleet: two 5MW ice-class tugboats, two 7MW icebreaking tugboats and a port icebreaker of 12 MW”, said Oleg Darbinyan.
According to him, three tugboats are already in operation at port Sabetta. The forth one, the Nadym, will be launched this week with the completion of construction scheduled for 25 May 2018. The new vessel is to start operations at port Sabetta on 1 July 2018. The port icebreaker is to be delivered in the end of 2018.
