New terminal of the port of Klaipeda (Lithuania) was put into operation in 2006. The same year it was taken on lease by Vitol International. The terminal’s throughput totaled about 800 thou tons in 2006, RZD-Partner reports. This year, the terminal’s managing company Kroviniu terminalas plans to ship 1.5 million tons of oil products, while the terminal’s design capacity is 2 million tons of cargo. Investment into construction amounted to $50 million.
