Savannah in second place on US east coast

The US port of Savannah has jumped to the number two spot on the list of busiest US east coast ports, seeing 2.2m teu last year, up 14% on the previous year. The port of New York/New Jersey is far and away the busiest on the Atlantic seaboard, with an annual throughput of around 5 million containers.
