CMA CGM announces Emergency Port Congestion Surcharge in Zanzibar (Tanzania)
CMA CGM has announced implementation of Emergency Port Congestion Surcharge due to the increasing deterioration of the port congestion up to 15 days in Zanzibar, Tanzania, which is beyond of CMA CGM's control, the shipping company said in its price and surchage announcements.
CMA CGM will therefore implement the Emergency Congestion Surcharge in Zanzibar applicable to all (dry cargo, reefer, OOG and breakbulk) cargo shipments until further notice effective as from May 15th, 2018 (B/L date). Applicable to import Zanzibar from the Middle East, Pakistan, India West Coast and Red Sea origins. All cargo dry, reefer, OOG and breakbulk. The surchage is prepaid at origin at amount of USD 100 per 20' container and USD 200 per 40' container.
