Ships of RF Navy's Pacific Fleet take part in a training in the Sea of Japan
Today, according to the combat training plan, the Pacific Fleet corvette Sovershenny and destroyer Bystry held an exercise to search and eliminate an enemy’s submarine in the Sea of Japan with performing live torpedo firings, says press of RF Defence Ministry.
When searching for the mock enemy’s submarine simulated by the Fleet’s diesel submarine, the Ka-27PL shipborne helicopters were applied.
Having fulfilled manoeuvres to search, classify and track the submarine, the corvette Sovershenny used her Paket up-to-date small-size ASW system in order to eliminate the target.
After this exercise, the ships are to take part in the general training of the parade and military sports festival for the Russian Navy Day to be hold in the Amur Bay.
