Sea Port St. Petersburg earmarked over $337,000 for bonus and social responsibility programmes

Since the beginning of the year, Sea Port of St. Petersburg JSC (MP St. Pb, part of UCL Holding) has spent RUB 23 million (USD 337,127) on remuneration, largely for employee benefits packages.

The benefits and reward programme of SP St. Pb JSC included payments for employees’ families wellness, sports, recreational activities and medical care plan.

In the seven-month period the company also held excursions for employees families and team-building retreats. Overall, more than 500 port workers along with their families have taken part in such events.

An additional item in the bonuses and incentives budget was the cost of employee training programme, as well as support for retired veterans of the port, heroes and activists of the labour veterans organization.

The social responsibility programme of SP St. Pb included the care for younger generation. Every year the port operator sponsors parents of first-graders, organizes entertaining activities for children of their employees. SP St.Pb on May 31st held an excursion of employees kids on board of the Krasin icebreaker.

SP. St.Pb JSC also sponsored the Young Athletes Training Center on the basis of the OLIMPIYETS Sports & Rifle Complex, where port employees’ children are trained free of charge. Since the opening of the children's shooting school in 2008, more than 150 children received sports ranks and became winners of various federal and international tournaments.

As part of sports events sponsorship this spring, SP St. Petersburg financed the St. Petersburg paralympic team to participate in the Victory Cup dressage, dedicated to the memory of young hero Zina Portnova. For the team, these competitions became preparatory in the run-up to the Russian Paralympic Dressage Championships in Moscow, where the St. Petersburg team won several prizes.
