Crab quotas will be accompanied by investment obligations, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Ilya Shestakov, head of Rosrybolovstvo (Russian Federal Fisheries Agency), as saying at the keel-laying ceremony held by Severnaya Verf shipyard for the longline factory ship of Project МТ 1112XL.
According to him, those provides with quotas will have to build a ship within a four-year period.
If a company rejects a laid down vessel it will have to pay a fine making 15% to 20% of the ship cost.
