Sea trials of SMK-2187, multi-purpose modular search-and-rescue boat of Project 23370М built for RF Navy’s North-East Rescue Detachment has been completed in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
SMK-2187 is the 15th boat in the series being built for RF Navy under the state contract with RF Defence Ministry.
In the nearest future, SMK-2187 will be accepted by the State Commission and will join search-and-rescue service of the Pacific Fleet with the base in Kamchatka.
23370М boats are designed to carry out search, rescue and underwater technical works in the Navy’s basing sites, in open waters, in harbours and coastal areas, including diving operation.
MK-2187 characteristics: displacement - 150 tons (full), length – 24.2 m, width – 8.5 m, draft – 1.4 m, maximum speed - 13 knots, cruising range - 250 miles, endurance - 5 days, crew - 12
