The missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the Northern Fleet, being on cruise in the Mediterranean Sea, has made a call at the port of Limassol in the Republic of Cyprus, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The ship will stay at the port for several days so that crew can replenish fuel, fresh water and food supplies.
After visit to the port of Limassol, the sailors will continue to perform tasks according to the long-range cruise plan in the Mediterranean, improving their combat training and naval training. A week ago, the crew held a missile defence exercises.
The long-distance cruise of the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser started when she left the main basing point –– Severomorsk –– on July 5, 2018. During this time, the cruiser was the flagship of the Main Naval Parade in the city of Kronstadt, took part in the inter-fleet exercises of the Russian Navy in the Baltic and Mediterranean seas, and also made a business call to Algeria.
During the trip the ship traveled about 16,000 nautical miles.
