Russian Railways says that loading of Russia’s export cargo bound for domestic ports grew by 4.9%, year-on-year, to 279.8 million tonnes in January-November 2018.
In particular, coal loading grew by 3.6%, ferrous metal – by 9.8%, fertilizers – by 3.3%, grain – by 30.1%, paper – by 10.2%, timber – by 17.8%.
Coal accounts for 46.8% of exports, oil – for 26%, ferrous metal – for 8.9%, fertilizers – for 6.7%, grain – for 3.7%.
In the reporting period, loading of export cargo to the ports of the North-West Region exceeded 119.3 million tonnes (+6.7%, year-on-year), to the port of the Southern Region – 69.5 million tonnes (+0.7%), to the ports of the Far East Region – 90.7 million tonnes (+6%).
