In January-November 2018, cargo traffic at the Port of Vysotsk increased 6% on the 11-month period a year earlier to 16,8 million tonnes., the Baltic Sea Ports Authority statistics showed.
Petroleum product exports grew by 3% to 9,818,800 tonnes and coal and coke volumes increased by 10% to 7 million tonnes.
Leningrad region, Russia based Port of Vysotsk specializes in handling export hydrocarbon products. There are two terminal operators at the port: Port Vysotsky OOO and RPK-Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II OOO. In May 2012, the Russian Government decided to expand the Port of Vysotsk territory, including within its boundaries the land and adjacent basin designated for facilities of a Break Bulk Terminal now under construction with capacity of 3 million tonnes a year.
