From the beginning of the navigation season of 2018-2019, icebreakers of FSUE Rosmorport have assisted 2,026 ships in freezing ports of Russia, says FSUE Rosmorport.
Arctic Basin
In the water area of port Sabetta, icebreaking assistance is being provided by the Moskva icebreaker. The number of vessels escorted so far – 5.
In the Kara Sea, the Krasin icebreaker has escorted 13 vessels.
In the White Sea, icebreaking assistance is being provided by the Kapitan Yevdokimov, Kapitan Kosolapov, Kapitan Chadayev and Dikson icebreakers. 79 vessels have been escorted from the beginning of the winter navigation season.
Baltic Basin
188 vessels have been assisted from the beginning of this winter navigation season in the Gulf of Finland by icebreakers of Rosmorport’s North-West Basin Branch.
Azov Basin
Icebreaker assistance at Azov, Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog ports is being provided by the following icebreakers: Kapitan Moshkin, Kapitan Chudinov, Kapitan Demidov, Kapitan Zarubin, Kapitan Kharchikov and Kama. The number of vessels escorted from the beginning of the navigation season – 1,603.
Volga-Caspian Basin
Icebreaker assistance at Astrakhan and Olya is being provided by the Kapitan Chechkin, Kapitan Metsaik and Kapitan Bukayev. From the beginning of the navigation season they have escorted 115 vessels.
Far East Basin
At the port of Magadan, icebreaking services are being provided by the Magadan icebreaker, 23 vessels have been escorted so far.
Rosmorport’s fleet of diesel fueled icebreakers numbers 35 ships of different capacity.
