The converted Palmali’s bulk carrier of RSD29 series Mammad Amin Resulzadeh sets sail on its maiden voyage
Palmali's new multipurpose 6057dwt dry cargo carrier of Project RSD29 Mammad Amin Resulzadeh on August 11 set out its maden voyage, the series designer Marine Engineering Bureau said.
The vessel was converted from a 00201L-series tanker at Yalova, Turkey based Dogruyol Shipyard in 2019.
The converted vessel of RSD29 series is designed for transportation of break bulk and dry bulk cargo (including grain), palletised lumber, round timber, scrap metal, metal in bundles and rolls, coal, dangerous goods of Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8 , 9 of IMDG Code and cargo of B Category, IMSBC Code.
Key particulars of dry cargo ship of Project RSD29 designed to the RS class KM Ice1 R2 AUT1: LOA x Beam x Depth: 129.30 x 16.50 x 6.80 m; Draft according to LWL: 4.742 m.
To be compliant with BWMC requirements the dry cargo ship was fitted out with Alfa Laval PureBallast 3.1 600 Compact Flex BWMS.
