Murmansk Commercial Seaport says it has put into operation the fourteenth AIST portal crane in cargo district No1.
The equipment manufactured by SMM JSC in Saint-Petersburg is tailored to meet the requirements of the stevedoring company.
The new crane is about 50 meters high. It is able to handle up to 10 tonnes of cargo with a single grapple operation. The crane complies with the recent sustainability requirements.
The fleet of the company’s portal cranes has thus been renovated for more than 50%.
Murmansk Commercial Seaport (MMTP JSC) was founded in 1994. MMTP operates 17 berths with total length of about 3 km. The waters depths allow the port accommodate vessels with draft of up to 15.5 m and length of over 265 m.
