Primorsk Marine Grain Terminal to be put into operation in 2024

Primorsk Marine Grain Terminal and Far East Development Corporation have signed an agreement on investment activities within the Free Port of Vladivostok, Bolshoy Kamen district of the Primorsky Territory.

Capital investments are estimated at RUB 900 million. The project is to generate 94 new jobs with the terminal to be put into operation in 2024.

Specialized grain terminal is intended for acceptance, storage and shipment of wheat, rice, rye, barley and other grain including exports to the Asia-Pacific Region. Annual turnover of the facility is to make 3 million tonnes.

The project foresees the construction of a berth, a station for unloading of railcars and trucks with an underground conveyor gallery and grain storage facility, a repair workshop and infrastructure facilities as well as acquisition of equipment.

According to FEDC, 2,000 residents have already been registered in priority development areas and in the Free Port of Vladivostok. The scope of announced investments exceeds RUB 3.5 trillion, generation of about 145,000 jobs is foreseen. 264 project has been already implemented with investments exceeding RUB 550 billion.
