In January-October 2019, the Port of St. Petersburg handled 50.00 million tonnes of cargo (+2%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 6% to 8.13 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – grew by 7% to 7.33 million tonnes, general cargo – down 12% to 9.94 million tonnes, Ro-Ro cargo – down 12% to 1.02 million tonnes, timber – up 27% to 358,500 tonnes.
The port’s container throughput increased by 5% to 1,867,722 TEUs.
In 2018, the port handled 59.32 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 2.7 mln TEUs.
