Throughput of port Shanghai (China) in 5M’2023 rose by 12.5% YoY

The port’s container throughput rose by 4.5%

In January-May 2023, port Shanghai (China) handled 228.4 million tonnes of cargo, up 12.5%, year-on-year. According to the port authority, container throughput rose by 4.5%, year-on-year, to 19,6 million TEUs.

Shanghai is a deep sea and river port of China. In 2022, the port of Shanghai handled 513.7 million tonnes.
