Oil export duty to increase to $200.6 per tonne from June 1 - ministry

Russia's export duty on oil will increase from $156.4 per tonne to $200.6 per tonne effective June 1, Alexander Sakovich, the deputy head of the Finance Ministry's Customs Payments Department, told Interfax.

The average price for Russian oil on European markets, monitored between March 1 and April 30, was $61.13433 per barrel. The maximum export duty rate for crude oil, calculated using a formula, is $200.6575 per tonne. The export duty will therefore stand at $200.6 per tonne from June 1, Sakovich said.
