Caspian Pipeline Consortium ups shipment of export oil by 12.8% in Jan.-Apr. 07, y-o-y

In January-April 2007, Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) upped shipment of export oil from the terminal Yuzhnaya Ozereika-2 (port of Novorossijsk) by 12.8%, year-on-year, Interfax reports according to Yuga.Ru. Over the reported period shipment of oil totaled 11.114 million tons against 9.852 million tons in January-April 2006. In April shipment of oil totaled 2.917 million tons (+3.6% against March and +11.6%, year-on-year).

Oil pipeline CPC Tengiz-Novorossijsk (total length - 1580 km) links the fields of the Western Caucasus and Russian coast of the Black Sea. In 2006 volume of oil pumped via CPC totaled 31.121 million tons. Russian share in CPC makes 24%, Kazakhstan — 19%, Oman — 7%.
