Azerbaijan has given up oil transit via Russia’s territory, the Prime-Tass news agency quoted Transneft as saying on Wednesday.
According to Transneft, Azerbaijan gave up oil transit via Russia’s territory till the end of the year. In April Azerbaijan stopped oil export via Russia’s territory, the company said.
In the first quarter of 2007 oil transit from Azerbaijan reached 1.023 million tonnes.
