Throughput of the port of Tallinn up 11.6% in Jan.-Apr. 07, y-o-y

In January-April 2007, AS Tallinna Sadam (the port of Tallinn, Estonia) handled 15.421 million tons of cargo (+11.6%, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports.  The highest growth was demonstrated in the sector of lose bulk cargo - 42% (4.4 million tons). Handling of liquid bulk cargo grew by 4.7% to 9.1 million tons. Transshipment of ro-ro cargo totaled 1.2 million tons (+15.2%, year-on-year). Handling of containerized cargo amounted to 448.5 thou tons. In April the port handled 3.854 million tons of cargo (+0.5%, year-on-year).
