Samsung Heavy wins 1.19-tln-won shipbuilding order

Samsung Heavy Industries Co., the world's second-largest shipbuilder, said Monday it has received a 1.19-trillion-won (US$1.29 billion) order to build eight container ships from an European company. The vessels will be delivered by 2011, the company said in a regulatory filing.
