Baltic Plant makes equipment for the atomic power plant

Baltic Plant finished the production of the heat-exchange equipment for Rostovskaya Atomic Power Plant, the company informed.
The agreement was settled with ElectroLab in Jan. 2006; general consumer was Rosenergoatom Concern. The contract is worth $3mln. The last lot within the contract should be delivered in summer this year.
The Plant makes two kinds of this equipment - straight-tube and stranded which are included into the auxiliary equipment set for the atomic power plants.
Now the Plant is in talks with Beloyarskaya AES on the delivery of such equipment.
Baltic Plant has high experience in the production of the equipment for the stationary and ship energetics. The Plant delivered such equipment to China, India and Vietnam.
Baltic Plant is one of the leading entities in the shipbuilding sector in Russia. It is included into Joint Industrial Corp. as a producer of icebreakers, large capacity ships and battle ships. The building of the offshore atomic power plants is one of the most perspective targets. The portfolio of the Plant is worth $600mln till 2009; military equipment contracts covering $30mln.
The 2006-net profit (RAS) was doubled to 548.77mln rub.; revenues - 13% to 1.673bn rub. from 1.48bn rub.; pretax profit - to 885.596mln rub. from 464.27mln rub. (1.9 fold growth). The loses came to 186.233mln rub. against 59.69mln rub. in profit last year.
