Loading of Far East Railway up 7.6 % in April 2007

In April 2007, Far East Railway loaded 4.520 million tons of cargo (104.1% against plan and 107.6 % against April of the previous year). The plan was exceeded by 318 thou tons. Coal accounts for the largest share in the volume of cargo loaded (1.542 million tons), loading of oil products totaled 845 thou tons, timber - 886 thou tons.

The plan for loading of high-price cargo was exceeded by 13.7% (+14.9%, year-on-year). Shipment of motorcars and equipment grew over 2-fold, industrial goods – grew 1.9 times, agricultural machines – 1.5 times, export timber – by 12%, oil products – by 8%. The plan for loading of unloading was exceeded by 1.3%. Average daily unloading grew by 115 wagons against March.
