The Iceland-based carrier Atlantsskip has chosen Rotterdam again as its base port in Northern Europe. As of May 2007 Atlantsskip will offer a weekly feeder and liner service from Rotterdam between Iceland and Northern Europe. The service will be operated with two GL classified fully fitted container vessels of maximum 380 TEU with reefer connections. On the way to Iceland with port of call in Hafnarfjordur, the ports of Esbjerg and Immingham are included as well. The first sailing from Rotterdam will be mv. “Africa” with e.t.a. 9th May 2007.
In order to operate under an own identity, Atlantsskip will be represented in the Benelux by Atlantsskip Benelux. Atlantsskip Benelux is a trade name under Broekman Motorships B.V., which is a member of the Broekman Group.
