In January-March 2007 Russian Federation export of ferrous metal grew by 3.9% to 10.685 million tons, RF Customs Service reports according to RZD-Partner. Delivery costs increased by 39.9% over the reported period to $4.834 billion. Export of ferrous metal to non-CIS states totaled 9.756 million tons (+2.2%) for $4.325 billion. Russian Federation import of ferrous metal made 1.422 million tons for $1.221 billion. Import of steel pipes amounted to 338 thou tons (+24.3%) for $561.9 million.
