Severnaya Verf (St. Petersburg) and Siddis Skipper II AS (Norway) sign a contract

Shipbuilding plant Severnaya Verf (St. Petersburg) and Siddis Skipper II AS ship-owner company (Norway) signed a contract on constructing a highly-saturated ship that will supply drilling and production structures of VS 470 PSV project, AK&M reports. Also the contract has an option on construction one more modernized hull of VS 470 MPSV project, said in the shipyard's announcement.
The contract's basis is metal-roll handling and producing and installation of tubes and hull attachments. Totals weight of each hull is 1.33 thou tons.
First hull will be turned in on June 30, 2008.
The Company is one of the leading shipbuilding plants in Russia. The major holders are Joint Industrial Corp. (72.23%), and RFFI (20.96%) It provides the building and repair services.
Company's net profit under IFRS according to the preliminary information rose by 54.6% to $15 mil, EBITDA margin - to 16.3%.
