Ukraine oil production up 3% in Jan-April

Oil production in Ukraine in January-April 2007 increased 3.1% year-on-year to 1.108 million tonnes in the first four months of 2007, the Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry reports according to Interfax-Ukraine. Production of gas condensate amounted to 391,800 tonnes (down 8.3%). Naftogaz Ukrainy companies increased oil production 1.9% year-on- year to 991,900 tonnes in January-April 2007, while cutting gas condensate production 8.4%, to 362,800 tonnes. Other oil and gas companies in Ukraine increased oil output 14.2% year-on-year to 117,000 tonnes in the reporting period, with condensate production down 6.6% to 29,000 tonnes.

Oil production in Ukraine in 2006 increased 5.4% to 3.32 million tonnes, while condensate production fell 1.1% to 1.19 million tonnes.
