OJSC “TransContainer” concludes a treaty with LG Electronics

Today, on May 15, in Seoul, OJSC “TransContainer” and LG Electronics concluded a treaty on transportation of utilities for the assemblage of television, refrigerating and freezing equipment and radio components.
“TransContainer” will provide a transparent service at cargo loaded in 40-foot containers delivery from the port of Pusan (Korea), from Nangin, Dalan, Ksingang and Shanghai (China) to station Moscow-Rizhskaya. Forecasted flow of traffic will amount to 9.6 mln TEU a year. In future it is proposed to organize transportation of utilities from China and Korea to LG factory, to station Tuchkovo.
In February 2007, OJSC “TransContainer” and LG Electronics concluded a treaty with on intentions of utility transportation to LG factory, at the same time OJSC “TransContainer” started trial transportation to station Moscow-Rizhskaya. In May transportation started on continuing basis.
“In February we started to organize experimental shipments in order to show our abilities to LG Electronics. We proved that OJSC “TransContainer” provides exhaustive service at containerized shipments organizations by any consignments with stable delivery dates. I note that this work have been organized by our own agency in South Korea”, said Petr Baskakov, OJSC “TransContainer” Director General.
