The Greek flagged tanker Minerva Concert ran aground last night on Hatterbarn in Samsø Belt with a full cargo of crude oil. So far, there is no explanation to the cause of the incident that took place with two pilots on board. Several Svitzer tugs are on the scene as well as several units from the Danish Navy’s environmental protection fleet, but there are no reports on oil spills or any leakage. Salvage experts are expecting that the tanker have to be lightered in a ship-to-ship transfer.
