Throughput of Iljichevsk Commercial Seaport (Ukraine) up 2.9% in April 2007

In April 2007, throughput of Iljichevsk Commercial Seaport totaled 1.31 million tons (+2.9%, year-on-year), the port’s administration reports according to RBC-Ukraine. Transshipment of general cargo grew 7.2% to 0.77 million tons, liquid bulk cargo – by 49.1%, to 0.17 million tons, while transshipment of dry bulk cargo fell 16% to 0.37 million tons.  Over the reported period the port handled 276 thou tons of containerized cargo (+52.5%), 158 thou tons of grain (+20.6%,), 282 thou tons of metal (-23.8%), 146 thou tons of ore (-28.1%). In 2006 the port decreased its throughput by 0.9% to 14.8 million tons, its net profit totaled 1.2 mln gryvnias.
