A joint venture company established by Penavico Tianjin, Tianjin Port International Logistics Development and Hong Kong's Chiao Feng Shipping Ltd in Tianjin has recently commenced operations, Logistics Week reports.
The JV named, Tianjin Port Fengjin Logistics Co., is located in the Tianjin Port International Container Logistics Centre.
Services provided by the newly established company include export container loading, import container discharging, container repair and cleaning, cargo storage, logistics distribution, container transportation and inspection.
The JV is equipped with a 164,000-square-metre container depot, a 12,000-square-metre warehouse, a front-handling container crane, container trucks, and forklift trucks.
In 2006, Tianjin Port, the largest port in north China, was ranked sixth in the world in terms of cargo throughput.
